Teror, Past and Present

Jumat (17/7/2009); Hari pendek… kata orang-orang. Pendeknya di mana? Sama saja dengan hari-hari lainnya, panjangnya 24 jam. Namun, ’hari pendek’ pekan ini menjadi sangat istimewa. Bukan karena pasaran Jawa-nya Legi, tapi hari ini menjadi tonggak aksi teror masih saja terjadi. Dulu, teror dilakukan penguasa dengan cara menekan aktivis menggelar aktivitas yang dinilai merongrong kekuasaannya (sekarang pun masih terjadi dengan cara yang lebih halus), diskusi yang membicarakan persoalan sensitif (misalnya mendiskusikan pemikiran Carl Marx, Pramoedya Ananta Toer dan gerakan kiri lainnya) karena dianggap tidak sesuai dengan dasar negara. Teror negara dilakukan dengan berbagai macam bentuk dan rupa, halus sampai kasar, penculikan sampai pembunuhan.

Teror yang terjadi hari ini (kabarnya) bukan dilakukan oleh negara. Namun teror terhadap negara. Peledakan hotel JW Marriot dan Ritz Carlton. Teror kasar saya kira. Memakan korban jiwa, puluhan luka berat, ribuan warga terguncang. Teror ini pun menjadi santapan empuk para politisi (yang baru saja sibuk dengan pesta pilpres). Teror kali ini dikaitkan dengan politik.

Nah, apa bedanya teror yang dilakukan negara dan teror yang dilakukan orang (atau organisasi) dengan meledakkan hotel? Teror kali ini teror politik, atau teror akan ketidakpuasan terhadap pihak lain? Itu yang belum terungkap. (iwa)

Kuliner Jogja: Sate Misuh

Kamis (17/7/2009); Tiba-tiba, sekonyong-konyong, siang ini kepingin mencoba makan di Sate Domba Afrika di bilangan Jalan Afandi (d/h Jalan Gejayan) Jogja. Tiba di warung yang pelataran parkirnya berupa tanah berdebu, lalu mencari tempat duduk yang nyaman. Sejurus kemudian pelayan pun datang menyodorkan daftar menu. Kupilih 1 porsi sate daging, 1 jus jeruk, 1 jus jambu merah (untuk Yeni), dan dua nasi putih.

Nunggu sekitar 15 menit, hidangan sudah tersedia di meja. Dilihat dari ‘bentuknya’ enak dimakan, dan memang terbukti enak, jusnya encer, nasi putihnya ditaburi bawang merah goreng. Penuh juga perut yang tadinya kosong dengan masakan lumayan enak tersebut. Tiba waktunya pulang, namun bayar dulu. Dihitung-dihitung, ‘’Habisnya Rp 65.000 om,’’ kata si kasir. Dalam hati aku mengumpat alias misuh, ‘’Bajigur. Larang tenan.’’ Yeni pun terdiam. Dalam perjalanan pulang kami berdua pun terlibat obrolan tentang pengalaman ‘manis’ itu. ’’Cocoke warung kuwi dijenengi ’Sate Misuh’, bar mangan, bayar, njur misuh-misuh...’’ ujarku. ’’Ra arep mrono meneh, mending ke Sate Samirono, Rp 65 ewu isih susuk,’’ timpal Yeni.
